Since my staff hasn't turned in their blogs yet, I will do the starters/sitters this week. I also want to throw in some injury reports and player news.
Willie Parker is out again with a shoulder injury, Steven Jackson is 90% to sit the weeks game and Roethlisberger is not looking good as a must start this week either.
Week 10 Starters
1) Chad Pennington- Chad is playing Seattle and one of the worst pass defenses this year. Miami has a solid run offense and that should free up some good opportunities to pass the ball.
2) David Garrard- Playing Detroit and looking to try to get into the playoff push, the Jags should play very well this week and their rush attack should also free up some big passes.
3) Jake Delhomme- Playing like the comeback player of the year, Jake is playing great and really finding rhythm with Steve Smith. It doesn't hurt that Carolina is playing Oakland, so look for Jake to score big.
4) DeAngelo Williams- Jonathan Stewart is injured and Williams should carry the load against the Raiders. I think he will score around 16 pts. in most leagues.
5) Ronnie Brown- I think Seattle's poor offense will pave the way for Brown to pound the ball away and gain over 100 yards.
6) Bernard Berrian- Has played several good games and Green Bay has a bottom 5 pass defense, I think he does well this week.
7) Laveraues Coles- Brett Favre will pick apart St. Louis this week and Coles should benefit from the long ball
Sitters this week
1) Matt Forte- Hard to sit a top 5 RB this year, but Tennessee's defense has been stellar, and will hold Forte to under 100 yeards.
2) Ben Roethlisberger- Injured and without Parker again, Ben will also be playing the Colts who are in must win mode the rest of the regular season. The Colts defense will step up and play D like they do every year towards the end.
3) Julius Jones- Seattle cannot move the ball and will get beaten on the line every down against Miami.
4) Wes Welker- hasn't played well this year, and although I think the Patriots squeeze this game out, the passing game will suffer.
5) Edgerrin James- drop him in every league, Hightower is taking his carries and does not look like he cares. The beginning of the end for James.
Also I want to point out the Washington redskins signed DeAngelo Hall today really boosting their defensive backfield. Is Al Davis really this stupid? I think so!
