I thought I would try to catch up on the injuries and suspensions from around the league.
Injuries to major fantasy players
- Tony Romo is listed as definitely out for Sunday's game vs. Tampa and will probably sit out until after their bye week in week 10. Hopefully he will return for the Washington game week 11.
- Sammy Morris is potentially a stud RB this year, but a knee injury is keeping him out of practice. He is listed as probable for Sunday. This is for the guys who had to pick him up after Maroney went out for the season this week.
- Felix Jones will miss at least the next two games for Dallas. He had scored a TD in every game he had played until the game he was injured. Looking to come back the same week as Romo.
- Anquan Boldin practiced mildly today and is listed as day-to-day, but I don't expect him to make a fantasy impact even if he plays this week.
- Jeremy Shockey is listed as uncertain after suffering a minor setback in the first practice since landing in London for the game against the Chargers.
- Brian Westbrook practices fully today making his reutrn this week look likely. After recovering from two seperate injuries (ribs and ankle), he will likely see limited action Sunday anyway.
- Willie Parker is listed as doubtful today. His lingering injuries have put a damper on this years fantasy teams, replacement Mewelde Moore is a viable option after last weeks 120 yd 2 TD performance.
- Jay Cutler is heading into a bye week and looks to be 100% when returning in week 9. X-rays were negative on his injured finger.
- Joseph Addai is listed as doubtful for this weeks game against the Titans. His hamstring injury looks worse than first thought and could miss significant games. A good sign for Dominic Rhodes owners.
- Jason Campbell is going to play Sunday after a groin injury looked more serious than i turns out to be.
-LaDainian Tomlinson did not practice today, but will start Sunday in London. He is a fantasy owners nightmare this year so far. He is not producing like in the past, but you cannot sit him due to any game could be his breakout game.
- Marques Colston was active last week, but did not see any fantasy action. owners consider sitting him until he performs well enough to earn his starting spot back.
- Reggie Bush had surgery Monday to repair knee damage. His return date looks like in 2-4 weeks, but I would consider 4 weeks before starting again. Knee injuries to slashers take a long time to get back to normal.
-Plaxico Burress has not practiced all week due to three seperate injuries including a thumb injury that has him listed as probable for Sunday.
- Willis McGahee is limiting his practices to prepare to start Sunday. He looks to be working his way back to form.
Suspensions
- Larry Johnson and Kellen Winslow have both been suspended by their teams for actions detrimental to he team. Johnson will miss his second game in a row and Winslow, who was battle injuries and sickness, has been a fantasy no-show this year.
More updates as this weekends games get closer.
